Google Licensing Changes

Now that we are resuming with in-person classes, the need for Google For Education Teaching and Learning license features has diminished.  In order to more effectively utilize our Technology budget for our highest needs, all teachers will now have a Google for Education Fundamentals license.  Most teachers will see little impact, if any, with this change as it mostly affects Google Meet (which we hope you won’t have to use with your students as regularly!).  The new license for all teachers does not have the “Activities” feature in Google Meet (breakout rooms, polls, Q&A), recordings will only be saved for 30 days, and the maximum number of participants is 100.  In addition, you may now only use Originality Reports on three assignments (if you don’t know what Originality Reports are, this won’t affect you!).  If you feel you still need these features, please reach out to the Tech Help Desk.
